Hello to Spring, Goodbye to SAD
February and March have always been particularly difficult for me. As many of you know, I have an anxiety disorder - which coincidentally goes hand-in-hand with depression. I also am affected by the seasons. SAD stands for seasonal affective disorder (which I have never been officially diagnosed with, but I'm calling an audible on this one).
I'm not shy about sharing my mental health issues - I personally feel like when others share their stories with me, it helps me to not feel so alone. So after the RUT that I've been in for the past several weeks, I'll pulled myself out of bed and curled my hair, threw on my big-girl Spanx and slipped into some heels for church today. I decided to try and psych out my brain by my actions. And, it worked... mostly.
I don't feel 100% all the time, including today. But I felt better. Good enough to take a few photos in the sunshine.
